Today, Indie Lit Journal Volume 1 drops — a free quarterly PDF publication from Indie Lit Lounge, featuring fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction from independent writers who deserve to be read. Thirty-five pages and eleven writers.
You can read it right here.
What’s inside Volume 1:
Poetry from
Sam Hendrian
and
Fiction from
Non-fiction from
and
Beth
Cover art by Simon Leoyd.
And we’re not stopping there.
Starting this week, Indie Lit Journal is getting its own Substack publication— a sister publication to Indie Lit Lounge, dedicated entirely to the journal and the writers inside it.
Here’s what that means for you:
If you're already subscribed to Indie Lit Lounge, you're automatically subscribed to Indie Lit Journal. You don't need to do a thing.
Every week between issues, we’ll share an excerpt from a piece in the current volume — straight to your inbox, with a link to the author. The journal publishes four times a year. The Substack posts every week. By the time we’ve worked through every piece in Volume 1, Volume 2 will be ready. It’s a rhythm that works.
We publish in March, June, September, and December.
Submissions for the June issue open soon.
Volume 1 is just the beginning. We’re glad you’re here for it.
